Read time under a minute. Holding Your Breath For Unconditional Presence is an introductory article for our Spiritual Immersion series.
Seed #1 — Waiting for Perfect
We’re holding our breath.
Waiting for the perfect moment.
As if stillness will make it arrive.
But life doesn’t wait with us.
It moves on—
slipping past the pause we’re clinging to.
The present isn’t still.
It shifts. Breathes. Changes shape.
Time forgets itself.
Breathe.
Step into the motion that’s already pulling at you.
The perfect moment isn’t coming.
This is the moment.
Holding your breath is waiting to arrive.
Breathing is knowing you’re already here.
Let’s stop bracing.
Let’s start living.
Breathe like the waiting is over.
Seed #2 — Not Underwater
Why are we holding our breath?
We aren’t underwater.
If bracing for submersion is safety first—
why are they still standing on the deck, pinching their noses?
They call it survival mode.
We call it wasting the only moment we’ve got.
All of the preparation in the world will not make you invincible.
Breathe—
Sink deep into the moment.
We might take a beating.
At least we jumped in.
Why keep holding your breath for a future that never comes?
We’ll explore this deeper in our next series, Spiritual Immersion, out later this week.
But I wouldn’t hold my breath.
