“Be present,” or “Go find yourself”…
Yeah.
Why don’t you go F…ind yourself, buddy.
Where would we even begin to start looking?
You don’t need to be fixed.
You don’t need to be found.
You need to be free.
But free from what, exactly?
There’s a lot of noise out there.
(A lot of noise in that head of yours, too.)
An endless barrage of opinions, beliefs, and advice:
How you should be.
Who you should like.
What to want. How to want it. How to optimize the wanting.
Let’s ask a better question—
If you can’t fight fire with fire,
why would you fight noise with noise?
But that’s what everyone else—
and every instinct you’ve got—
keeps telling you to do.
Here’s some revolutionary thinking:
When everyone else,
or the voice in your head,
are convinced that they can convince you otherwise—
Don’t flinch.
Don’t fight.
Knock their socks off with a whisper.
Sharpen stillness like a blade.
Cut through the noise.
The noise out there—
The noise inside.
Layer by layer.
Not with force—but with precision.
Create gaps—
Not just when it’s easy.
Especially when it’s not easy.
Because every gap
is a sacred moment.
Stop proclaiming truth,
Start removing what’s hiding it.
A tiny, quiet mutiny.
From the inside out.
(Because nobody else is going to do it for you.)
